Work at Children's Village

Looking for employment in an exciting early education and child care setting?

Children’s Village is always looking for qualified staff and substitutes. We employ individuals with a variety of educational and work experience. As a licensed, NAEYC accredited, Keystone Star 4 program, we follow state and federal guidelines regarding employment. Lead teachers are required to have at least an associate’s degree in early childhood education and two years experience working with children. Many of our current lead teachers have bachelor’s degrees in ECE. Assistant teachers are required to have a minimum of two years experience working with children. Many of our assistant teachers either have an associate’s degree in ECE or are working towards their degree. We also are looking for qualified candidates with experience in Head Start and knowledgeable about NAEYC accreditation guidelines.

Employing more than 30 teaching staff, we are always in need of qualified substitutes. Substitutes must be at least 18 years of age, have a high school diploma or G.E.D. and one year experience with children. We often hire full time staff from our substitute pool.

All staff and substitutes are required to supply the following:

  • Resume
  • Data Sheet
  • Emergency Contact Sheet
  • Two letters of recommendation
  • Child Abuse Clearance
  • Police Check
  • Proof of Age
  • Proof of educational and work experience
  • Two form of identification
  • Medical form and TB screening

For full time staff we offer competitive salaries and excellent benefits including health coverage, paid sick, vacation and personal days, release and tuition support while attending approved college programs, paid planning time and more. Part time staff also receive partial benefits for paid release time (time off and leave time for continuing education). Substitutes are paid competitive wages.

We offer both full day and part day employment (toddler, preschool and kindergarten teachers work full day; school age staff work flexible schedules).
